Hey Family!

That's right, Elder Gale is officially training! It is absolutely wonderful and has done a ton for my focus and happiness and zero trunkiness. I am training Elder Oliveira, from Cabo Verde, Africa. (Cape Verde--where Kyle Teela is called to serve!). He's an awesome "son" and is helping me a ton. He already speaks quite a bit of Portuguese but his first language is Creole. He comes from the island Santo Antão. He was born in the church, and his father was actually one of the first branch presidents there who served for 14 years. His family was the first family to be sealed in the Recife temple from Cape Verde. We're getting along really well (particularly because he knows how to cook!)

I'm feeling great. I'm at the point where it doesn't feel hard to go out each day. I feel excited to savor this last time that I have on the mission. We're going to use every last moment!

I'm also acting as music director here in the mission :D The mission will have a devotional with a seventy this month and the Assistants asked me last minute to organize the whole choral performance. So I chose the Elders and Sisters in the mission that will participate and we had our first rehearsal today. It was great! It will be on the 31st of May.

I am in the area Aguas Lindas in the zone Entrocamento. It's funny because this is one of the areas that I followed up with 1 year ago when I was here with E. Rolando. It's an area that is historically very difficult, but I'm sure we will have a ton of success! I feel like this is the last test to see if everything that I've learned on my mission will tackle this area. Until now it's going great! It's a huge area, but the members are really willing to help out. We were left without any investigators when we got here, so for now it's just the area book and who we can find.

We have 1 young man who looks really promising! We found him yesterday, his name is Marcos. He is the brother of one of the members. We're looking hopefully towards the 30th of May!

I love you guys so very much! We're in the last stretch, now it's full sprint until the finish line!

Elder Gale
